Islamic work ethics emphasize not only professionalism and productivity but also the spiritual dimension of work, which includes values such as worship, trust (amanah), sincerity, and honest livelihood. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews with the business owner and employees, direct observation, and documentation. The study found that “New Loundry” integrates Islamic principles in its daily operations, including honesty in transactions, discipline in fulfilling responsibilities, and maintaining a halal income. Employees are encouraged to view their work as a form of worship and moral duty, while the employer ensures fair wages, appropriate working conditions, and spiritual support. Additionally, the business avoids unethical practices such as fraud, usury (riba), and exploitation. These implementations contribute not only to the business’s operational efficiency and employee satisfaction but also to customer trust and long-term sustainability. The findings suggest that embedding Islamic ethical values in small business management can foster a more holistic approach to success—one that balances material achievement with spiritual well-being. This study offers a model for other small businesses aiming to operate ethically within an Islamic framework.
Lusi Rahma Rafli Al Kautsar Suci Rahmadani Ainun Zehriyah Copyright (c) 2025 Lusi Rahma, Rafli Al Kautsar, Suci Rahmadani, Ainun Zehriyah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-08 2026-01-08 3 2 101 111 10.59996/jurnalpelitanusantara.v3i2.804 Tinjauan Hukum Islam terhadap Jual Beli Makanan Sistem Al-Qard di Kantin Sirin Sinhan Kabupaten Sambas https://glorespublication.org/index.php/jupenus/article/view/860
Buying and selling is an exchange transaction that must fulfill the principles of lawfulness, fairness, and contractual clarity in Islam. However, the food trading practice in Sirin Sinhan Canteen, Sambas Regency, presents a different phenomenon, where payments are made on a deferred basis and charged to the government budget through administrative receipts, resulting in discrepancies in transaction values. This condition raises questions regarding the compliance of such practices with Islamic legal provisions. This study employs a qualitative approach with a non-doctrinal (empirical) legal research method to examine the transaction practices and payment mechanisms at the canteen. The findings reveal that the transaction is not a cash sale, but rather an al-qard (loan-based) contract due to delayed payments by customers, mostly civil servants. Moreover, inconsistencies in debt amounts between the canteen receipts and government documents indicate potential contractual uncertainty. Therefore, improvements in the payment system are required to ensure conformity with Sharia principles and uphold fairness for both parties.
Azmi Juniarti Copyright (c) 2025 Azmi, Juniarti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-08 2026-01-08 3 2 112 119 10.59996/jurnalpelitanusantara.v3i2.860 Fundamentalisme dan Radikalisme dalam Islam https://glorespublication.org/index.php/jupenus/article/view/941
Islamic da'wah is essentially a process of communicating divine values aimed at guiding humanity toward goodness, peace, and the common good. However, in the contemporary Indonesian context, da'wah faces serious challenges due to the strengthening of Islamic fundamentalism and radicalism, which often present religion in an exclusive, textual, and confrontational manner. This article aims to analyze Islamic fundamentalism and radicalism as problems in da'wah and religious communication and to formulate a preventative da'wah model relevant to Indonesia's social reality. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, enriched by a review of literature related to digital da'wah and religious moderation. The results show that radicalism develops not only due to narrow religious understanding but also due to dysfunctional da'wah communication that fails to build dialogue, empathy, and awareness of plurality, especially in the digital space. The spread of exclusive religious narratives through social media increases the vulnerability of the younger generation to extreme ideologies. Therefore, this study emphasizes the urgency of preventive preaching as a transformational communication model through strengthening religious and digital literacy, cultural communication, institutional synergy, and building community resilience to strengthen religious moderation and social cohesion in Indonesia.
Hamzah Saputra Darussalam Syamsudin Copyright (c) 2025 Hamzah Saputra, Darussalam Syamsudin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-12 2026-01-12 3 2 120 132 10.59996/jurnalpelitanusantara.v3i2.941
